Yeovil Carpet Cleaning

Overview

Derek Harding was starting Yeovil Carpet Cleaning from nothing: carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning for homes, rented properties, offices and village halls across Yeovil, Sherborne and the towns around them. The training was done and the machine was on order. What he did not have was anywhere for people to look him up once they had seen the van, or been given his name by a neighbour.

Carpet cleaning is a job you invite someone into your house to do, which makes it a decision about trust well before it is a decision about price. Almost everybody would find him on a phone, so the site had to show the standard of the work, answer the questions people ask before they ring, and keep his number within reach wherever they had got to on the page.

We designed and built a bespoke one-page site around Derek's own logo and colours, laid out for a phone first. It sets out the three services, walks through what happens from the first call to the finished room, and carries the proof that counts on this kind of job: fully insured, allergy-conscious, clear pricing and a name that is local. A questions and answers section handles what people would otherwise ring to ask, and the enquiry form takes a postcode and a rough idea of the job, so a visit can be planned properly rather than becoming a wasted trip.

Nothing was too much trouble and you explained everything perfectly. You're a professional at what you do and no one should hesitate to contact you.

Google PageSpeed scores PageSpeed Insights is a free check from Google. It loads the page the way a mid-range phone on a slowish connection would, then scores it out of 100 on four things: how quickly it appears, how easy it is for everyone to use (including people who rely on screen readers), whether it's built to current standards, and how easily search engines can read it. 90 or above shows green, which is Google's idea of good.

Tested on mobile in September 2026. Websites change over time, so this is a snapshot of that date.

We only publish scores for sites built on Motley CMS, where the result is down to us (not a theme or a pile of plugins). What is Motley CMS?

  • 98 out of 100 for Performance
  • 97 out of 100 for Accessibility
  • 96 out of 100 for Best Practices
  • 100 out of 100 for SEO
