British Toy & Hobby Association

Overview

The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) is the trade body for the UK toy industry, representing toy and hobby companies — championing toy safety, running the London Toy Fair and supporting members through advocacy, guidance and events.

A trusted UK partner across four web properties

The BTHA doesn't run one website — it runs four. We're the dependable UK partner that keeps the whole digital estate stable, available and moving forward.

The challenge

When we first started talking with the BTHA, the management of their digital presence was precarious. They needed a trusted UK partner — a responsive team that would work with them and for them — to give their digital assets the continuity, stability and availability the organisation relies on.

What we built

We now look after all four of the BTHA's web properties. It's a hands-on, continuous relationship — tweaking here, upgrading there, and more often than not sleeves-up in the guts of the sites, making the changes and edits the organisation needs day to day. So far we've redeveloped three of the four properties, with the fourth on the cards.

Working with Motley is a dream! In what is a often saturated marketplace, Jamie and his team's personal yet professional approach to their web development process in our experience has really made them stand out from their competitors. We gave Motley the difficult brief of re-theming and developing our site in a very tight timeframe and they delivered on time and on budget and bar far exceeded our expectations here. Motley offer outstanding creativity and this is matched with technical expertise and we could not ask for more than this. Their ability to come alongside you and your brand is a real joy to to work with and we would 100% recommend them to anyone thinking about their web presence.

The results

A stable, available digital estate and a responsive UK team the BTHA can depend on — across all four of their websites, as Matt Jones's testimonial reflects.
