How We Work
The short version of how a Motley project actually goes.
Every job's different. A quick brochure site and a bespoke web app are not the same animal. But the shape of how we work doesn't change much, whatever we're building. We figure out what you need. We build it. Then we look after it. No surprises, no jargon, and we don't disappear the day it goes live. Here's how that breaks down.
Plan
- Before anyone touches a keyboard, we get to know your business. How it works day to day, where the friction is, what you actually need this thing to do.
- This is the part a lot of agencies skip, and it's the part that decides everything. Get it right and the rest is straightforward. Get it wrong and you end up with something that looks fine but doesn't earn its keep.
- So we take the time. We work out the right solution for you, not the easy one for us.
Build
- Then we make it. Design and development, done properly and tested before it goes anywhere near your customers.
- This is where the craft comes in. Clean design, solid build, no nasty shortcuts that come back to bite you later. We'll keep you in the loop as we go, in plain English, so there are no nasty surprises at the end.
Launch and look after
- We get it live. And then, unlike a lot of people, we stick around.
- Most agencies hand over the keys and vanish. We don't work that way. Most of our clients stay with us for years, on hosting and maintenance, because a website or an app is something that needs looking after rather than launching and forgetting.
- We keep yours running, updated and safe, so you can get on with your actual business.
